Immediately after opening today, domestic gold prices rose sharply to reach a new high of VND35.35 million per tael. Then it quickly fell by VND50,000/tael and now stands at VND35.3 million/tael.
Thang Long Dragon gold at Bao Tin Minh Chau was listed at VND35-35.35 million/tael in Hanoi at 9am on November 6. Earlier, at 8.45am, at Phu Quy Company, gold prices rose strongly against the previous day’s transactions and stood at VND35.05-35.3 million/tael.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the price of gold hovered around VND35.15-35.25 million/tael.
Domestic gold prices fluctuated strongly due to changes in the world price of gold. On November 5, it soared to US$1,400 per ounce and at 11am on November 6 it was transacted at US$1,393.3-1,394 per ounce.
