Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved a plan for cooperation with 14 United Nations bodies, which offer a combined non-refundable aid of US$404 million for the 2006-2010 period.

The targeted agencies include the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), the Joint UN Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), the UN Volunteers (UNV), the UN Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), the UN Food and Agriculture (FAO), and the International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD).

Other bodies are the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), the UN Human Settlements Programme (UNHABITAT), the UN Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the World Health Organisation (WHO).

The Ministry of Planning and Investment will be responsible for signing the plan with the UN bodies.
