The National Assembly (NA) adopted a resolution on November 15 for the central and local budget allocation plan for 2011 with an 78.3 percent of approval.

Accordingly, the total central budget receipts for 2011 will reach VND398,679 billion and local budget receipts will be set at 206,321 billion. Total central budget spending will reach VND519,279 billion.

Under the resolution, the Government is asked to empower budget allocation to ministries, central agencies, and provinces in compliance with the State Budget Law, the resolutions of the NA and its Standing Committee.

Under the chairmanship of NA Vice Chairmen Uong Chu Luu and Nguyen Duc Kien, the NA also approved three bills including the Inspection (revised), Civil Servants, and Environment Protection Tax laws.

The Government should ask central agencies and people’s committees at all level to allocate 2011 budget revenues and spendings by December, 2010 and report it to the NA.

The NA continued to discussed the Law on Complaints and Denunciations.
