A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) headed by Vuong Thua Phong, Deputy Director of the CPV Central Committee Commission for External Relations, attended a special gathering of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) in Nanning, China, from September 2-6.
The conference was held by ICAPP in coordination with the Communist Party of China, under the theme “Development and People's Access: Deliver the Fruits of Development to the People”.

More than 50 political parties from almost 30 countries in the Asia-Pacific region discussed and exchanged experience in sharing development achievements through provision of healthcare, education, employment and poverty reduction.

Participants highlighted the role and responsibilities of governments in creating opportunities for equitable access to the benefits of development.

The Vietnamese head delegate informed the conference about Vietnam’s priority policies, achievements and experiences in ensuring a strong connection between economic development and social progress and equality.

The conference issued the Nanning declaration, calling on Asian political parties to accelerate international cooperation in social development and sharing, creating opportunities for people to access development achievements.

On the sidelines of the conference, the Vietnamese delegation attended the meeting of the ICAPP Standing Committee and exchanged views to boost relations between the Communist Party of Vietnam and other political parties in Asia.
