PM Phuc welcomes RoK’s Panko Corporation Chairman

VOV.VN - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on December 27 received Choi Young Joo, President of the Republic of Korea (RoK)- Vietnam Friendship Association and Chairman and CEO of the Panko Corporation- a Korean business is carrying out garment and textile projects in central Vietnam.

At the reception, PM Phuc hailed the Panko Corporation for actively implementing investment and production projects in Vietnam while affirming that Vietnam always creates favorable conditions for foreign investors in the country, including Korean enterprises. 

The PM extolled the great efforts by Mr. Choi Young Joo in promoting friendship exchanges between the two nations and suggested Choi Young Joo continue to support and promote exchanges and cooperation between Korean businesses and their Vietnamese counterparts.

The future opening of more direct flights linking Korean localities to Vietnam will help facilitate cooperation activities between the two countries as a contribution to pushing up bilateral trade as well as exchanges between the two countries, Phuc told his guest.

The PM also expected Panko to expand its investment in Vietnam, adding that Vietnam is running trade deficit with the RoK, therefore, Korean enterprises’ business and production activities in Vietnam such as Panko will help balance bilateral trade between the two countries.

Mr Choi Young Joo told PM Phuc that his corporation is destined to expand investment in high-tech agriculture in mountainous areas in central Vietnam and Panko will continue calling on Korean enterprises to continue their investments in Vietnam, thereby more balancing two-way trade.

The government leader suggested Panko bring new technologies with high productivity and efficiency to Vietnam as the good way to further develop cooperation and friendship between businesses and people of the two nations.
