The World Population Fund (WPF) and the Hanoi-based Xa Dan Secondary School for hearing-impaired children on April 18 signed a commitment to carrying out a two-year project on reproductive health and sex education.

The project will compile a dictionary in sign language for reproductive health and sex terms and a curriculum of these subjects for adolescents with hearing problems.

Under the project, Xa Dan school teachers will also receive training on reproductive health and sex education so that they can incorporate these knowledge in their lessons and set up a guidance room at the school.

In addition to 500 pupils at the Xa Dan school, the project plans to introduce the programme to schools in other localities.
