France-Vietnam Festival opens
(VOV) - A festival was held in HCM City on December 14-15, to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between France and Vietnam.
The event was organised by the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry as part of the closing ceremony of France Year in Vietnam.
More than 30 stands displayed high quality agricultural products, business information, toys and traditional French and Vietnamese food and drink.
Visitors to the festival enjoyed a music performance “Bonjour Vietnam” alongside other entertainment activities such as dancing and painting and a baking competition.
The winner of the baker contest will have the opportunity to join the World Baker Cup in Paris in 2015.
The festival aimed to promote Vietnamese and French agriculture and food industry. It gives the two countries a good chance to share knowledge and experience to help improve the quality of products, promote trademarks and attract investment in the agricultural and food industry.
