ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Youth opens in Hanoi
The Vietnamese government always pays special attention to training and developing young human resources and considers them a shock force in all areas.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung was speaking at the 7th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Youth (AMMY), which opened in Hanoi on October 20.
The Vietnamese leader asked the Ministers to discuss action plans and launch initiatives to boost cooperation in improving the quality of human resources and raise the status of ASEAN in the international arena.
PM Dung said ASEAN youth should broaden their knowledge about the region and join hands to address regional issues including environmental protection, integration and sustainable development.
They should closely cooperate with their partners from China, Japan and the Republic of Korea in developing the young workforce, he added.
