Singaporean Deputy PM welcomed in Hanoi

VOV.VN - Politburo member and Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Vo Van Thuong gave a reception to Singaporean Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean in Hanoi on March 22.

Thuong, who is also head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education, hailed the Singaporean Deputy PM’s contributions to strengthening the Vietnam-Singapore strategic partnership while voicing his hope that his visit will help tighten the friendship and mutual trust between the two nations.

Thuong applauded the fruitful cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore and called for broader cooperation in education and training, people-to-people exchange, high-quality human resources development and science development, among others.

As both nations share significant similarities in culture, they can share experience during the development and integration process, Teo said, suggesting both sides should maintain cooperation in the training of young officials.
