Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (Vinashin) in co-ordination with C.I.S Vietnam Advertising and Exhibition Ltd, organised the 3rd International Exhibition on Shipbuilding, Marine Technology and Transportation (Vietship 2006) in Hanoi on February 21.

The exhibition was held on an area of 5,000 sq.m with a total of more than 200 pavilions displaying shipbuilding technology products, construction materials for shipbuilding technology, sailor, seaport and port services and interior decorations for ships.

Addressing the event, general director of Vinashin Pham Thanh Binh said the exhibition provides opportunities for Vietnam’s shipbuilding industry to promote its latest products and services to foreign partners, as well as exchange experiences in order to accelerate its competitive capacity and international integration.

Vietship 2006, the largest event of its kind in Vietnam, has attracted domestic shipyards and shipping designers and leading global shipbuilders from Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, France, and the Netherlands. 

During the event, signing ceremonies for contracts and cooperative agreements were also held.
