Vietnam’s garment and textile export turnover in August reached over US$1.35 billion, increasing the year’s figure to US$8.95 billion so far.
The sector’s exports increased 28.2 percent compared to the same period last year.
According to Pham Xuan Hong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association, if such progress continues, the garment and textile sector will exceed its annual set target of US$13.5 billion and be on the threshold of reaching US$14 billion.
