The Can Tho City People’s Committee in the Mekong Delta has approved a project to build and develop hi-tech agriculture.

Under the VND3.1 trillion project, which will be implemented through 2010 with a vision for 2020, three hi-tech agricultural zones will be built to utilise agricultural techniques for rice production and aquaculture and to attract more investors to the city.

Apart from the project, the city is launching 12 priority projects on urban agricultural and ecological development and aquatic products’ quality management.
