The fight must be implemented at all stages from production and import to distribution and circulation, the government leader said in his dispatch issued on September 8.
PM Dung asked the Steering Committee for Prevention and Control of Smuggling, Counterfeit Goods and Trade Frauds to map out an inspection plan in the remaining months of this year to timely deal with fake fertiliser, pesticides, animal feeds and medicines.
The government leader also requested that the Ministry of Public Security step up investigation to discover organisations and individuals involved in producing, processing, importing, trading and possessing fake products.
Ministers, chairs of the municipal and provincial People’s Committees and leaders of the inspection bodies will take responsibility for the circulation of counterfeits and bad quality products, he stressed.
