Twenty-three beauties from the Miss Earth 2010 pageant planted trees on November 21 at the Cat Trang Doc Let tourism site in Ninh Hoa district in the south central province of Khanh Hoa to promote the “For the Green of the Earth” campaign.
They were joined by more than 50 students from Tran Quoc Toan and Tran Quy Cap high schools.
This event aims to create a green and clean society and raise public awareness of the need to plant trees and protect the environment.
In the evening, the beauties took part in therapeutic yoga classes and learned about treatment using natural medicinal herbs.
On November 22, the beauties will pick up rubbish on the beach to promote “Action for the Environment” campaign sponsored by the Miss Earth 2010 pageant.
The beauties will also visit some pagodas in the province to learn more about Vietnam’s culture and religion.
