The New Zealand International Aid and Development Agency (NZAID) has pledged to donate US$2 million for a pre-school education project in the central province of Binh Dinh.

The sum will be spent to build 69 class-rooms and buy school equipment and teaching aids.

The US$3.3 million project, including US$1.3 million funded by the province's budget, will be carried out from April 2007 to December 2008. It will help develop the pre-school educational system in 58 out of 157 communes in remote and mountainous areas of the province.
