Despite it not being her strongest event, Hang performed very well in the women's 400m event to clock a time of 55.67sec.

Her teammate, Vu Thi Huong, finished second in the women's 200m with a time of 24.26sec to bag silver medal, while Ngoc Phuong came in last at 24.84sec.

The Vietnamese track-and-field athletes continue are scheduled to continue competing at a tournament in Rehlingen, Germany on June 13 before returning home.

On June 26, they will convene in Vietnam to prepare for the Asian Track and Field Championships in Kobe, Japan, in July.
