Vietnam kept its runner-up title at the Gold Beer Champions 6v6 Football Championship in South Africa, losing 0-1 to Brazil in the final match on July 1.

After the game, Vietnamese coach Nguyen Huu Dang, said he was really proud of his players for making it to the final match with Brazil.

Pierluigi Colina, the Italian referee, said he was very surprised at what the Vietnamese players had accomplished.

Although no player won the US$100 prize promised by journalist Xuan Gu to any Vietnamese player who scored in the final match, the team were all happy to have had the chance to play football against players from all over the world in a stadium where so many famous footballers have played.

The Vietnamese team beat their rivals from China, South Africa and Canada before losing to Brazil in the final.
