The 12th National Radio Festival themed “Multi-platform modern broadcasting” is underway in Nha Trang city, central Khanh Hoa province on April 20-22.

VOV Vice President Vu Hai said audience demand and methods of information delivery have changed rapidly in recent years.

“The question is how to take advantage of the multi-platform communications model and to produce qualified radio products to attract the public. I hope professional activities during this festival, especially the seminars on radio broadcasting in the multimedia era, the factors involved in making attractive and useful radio reports, and new technological trends in radio-television - will partly answer those questions.

The most important thing is to give our audience top priority regardless of what platform we use. If we can do that, radio broadcasts will always be welcomed by the public,” Hai said.

270 entries from 78 radio and TV stations were sent in this year.

In addition to the official awards, there will be other awards presented by the Voice of Vietnam, the Defense Ministry, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, and Vietnam Electricity company.
