President meets air force, defence veterans
(VOV) - President Truong Tan Sang met air force and air defence veterans as part of commemorations for the 40th anniversary of the Hanoi-Dien Bien Phu air victory on December 28.
The President and delegates recalled the glorious history of the armed forces and their eventual triumph.
He noted victory was a landmark in the nation’s history, directly leading to the signing of the Paris Accord in 1973.

He praised the brave fighting spirit of the army and its servicemen and women, as well as the valuable support provided by international friends.
Sang stressed that even after 40 years, the victory deserves its recognition as the pride of the nation, offering lessons and inspiration to future generations.
