Mr Sang made the affirmation while working with 97 Vietnamese ambassadors and foreign affairs officials who attended the 27th Diplomatic Conference in Hanoi on December 19.
He highlighted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ efforts in organizing the conference and its contributions to national development in 2011.
The State leader also emphasised the need to promote coordination between diplomatic agencies both at home and abroad to contribute more to national construction and defence.
Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh reported the results of the 27th Diplomatic Conference, saying it reviewed diplomatic activities in recent years, grasped the foreign policies adopted at the 11th Party Congress, and devised ways to improve the operational efficiency of the sector in the future.
The diplomats reported on the implementation of Party and State foreign policies abroad and expressed their determination to fulfill their missions and contribute to strengthening cooperation with other countries, as well as boosting national development and international integration.
