Paintings donated by domestic and foreign artists will be auctioned at the event.

Nguyen Viet Phuong, Head of Operation Smile Vietnam said the fund will help to sponsor surgeries for about 500 Vietnamese children.

The Operation Smile Vietnam plans to offer free surgeries to at least 2,000 disabled children, including those with facial malformation.

It will also build rehabilitation centres in Hanoi, Hue and HCM City to support free treatment for the disadvantaged children.
