The southern province of Dong Thap has started construction on a 28.5km road from Cambodia’s border with Vietnam to the Trans-Asia highway in Sdach district, Prey Veng province.
The road, expected to be completed in 2011, will run from the Dinh Ba border gate in Dong Thap province, and Bontia Chak Cray border gate in Prey Veng to the Trans-Asia highway.
The project being funded by Dong Thap province and implemented by Dong Thap Construction and Material Construction Company.
Once opened to traffic, the road will help to boost socio-economic development and cultural exchange between the two border regions.
