Laos and Vietnam will invest about US$12 million in building a new trade centre in the Lao capital of Vientiane with a total area of 11,100 square metres.

A document of cooperation on the joint venture was signed by representatives of the Vietnam’s Ministry of Trade (now the Ministry of Trade and Industry) and the Ana-Chak Trade Company of Laos.

Accordingly, the Lao company will share 40 percent of the total investment and the Vietnamese Ministry will fund the remainder.
