Speaking at the ceremony, Ngo Doan Hop, the Minister of Information and Technology, praised the university for having successfully ensured the four most important elements of education: first class staff, a wide range of students, lowest costs and study fees and the most up-to-date methods of studying.

Hoang Ngoc Trung, director of AI Vietnam expressed that the university can attract one million students and become a revenue for professionals from many universities as well as foreign and national experts from leading enterprises and research institutes to deliver lectures on IT.

Mr. Trung won first prize in a Vietnamese talent contest with his methods of studying online and conducting examinations. Right after that, on April 29, 2008 Ai Vietnam and Vietnam Television Cable launched the system and after only one year of operation, the university has already attracted half a million students had has become the most effective way of teaching IT.
