On November 6, VOV took a new step forward with the grand opening of a 24-hour English-language radio channel named the '24/7 English Channel', which has been operating since October 1.

"VOV is well-known, and it is highly regarded for excellence both in television and radio,” VOV Deputy General Director Vu Hai, said at the opening ceremony.

“We want to sharpen that image. We believe that integration and the global movement towards free trade have brought more interest in Vietnam. The new channel allows us more scope to meet the increased demand for information from Vietnam,"
