During the month-long event, a 2006 European Film Festival will offer Vietnamese film devotees 12 selected motion pictures of the European movie industry.

Other highlights on the occasion are a series of art performances, including a ballet  performance by Vietnamese dancers, which will be choreographed by renowned French dancer Jean-Paul Comelin; a Rock show by French stars; a Spanish classical music performance; and a fine arts exposition.

A seminar will also be held to discuss experiences of both European and Vietnamese cultures.
This is the third time the "Days of European culture" have been organised in Viet Nam. The festivals were successfully held in 2004 and 2005.
