Outgoing Sri Lankan Ambassador to Vietnam Musthafa M. Jaffeer has been presented with a "For peace and friendship among nations" insignia in recognition of his contribution to promoting friendship between the two countries.

President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations (VUFO) Vu Xuan Hong presented the insignia to the outgoing ambassador, who pledged to continue to support the friendship and co-operation between the two countries after returning to his country.

During his tenure, Ambassador Musthfa actively contributed to the development of friendship and co-operative ties between Vietnam and Sri Lanka, particularly the solidarity between the people of the two countries, said VUFO President Hong during the ceremony.
