Children from 12 Vietnamese provinces attended a conference on child abuse and trafficking held in Hanoi on August 26.

At the conference, the children exchanged their views on thorny social issues related to child abuse and trafficking.

The event is co-organised by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the United Nations Children’s Fund and the Save the Children organisation to gather feedback from children for the development of a national programme on child protection in the 2011-2015 period.

At the conference many solutions were put forward for local authority to cope with the growing violence against children and child trafficking.
