A Japanese boat with around 1,000 visitors on board called at the central Da Nang city on November 9 for a two-day stopover during its 55th Global Voyage for Peace.
Some 180 young Japanese visitors from the Peace Boat will join in cultural exchange activities with hundreds of young Da Nang volunteers.
Around 400 young people from both countries will visit Hoa Xuan commune in the city's Cam Le district on November 10 to help the locals repair their houses damaged by Typhoon Xangsane in early October.
