Twenty-nine Vietnamese young people will take part in the Ship for Southeast Asian Youth programme 2010, which will begin from Yokohama port, Japan on November 4.

The ship will pass through Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam before ending on December 16.

As scheduled, the Vietnamese delegation will hold a “Vietnamese Day” with some art performances on the ship on December 5.

Vietnamese delegates joined a training course in Hanoi on October 11, organised by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in coordination with the National Committee on the Youth of Vietnam.

The course, which discussed the Vietnamese youth organisations, the Party’s foreign policy, the Vietnam-Japan relationship and exchanges between ASEAN and Japan, will last until October 24.

The country’s delegation, including 14 women, 14 men and one leader, will attend the opening ceremony of the programme in Tokyo, Japan on October 27.

Under the Ship for Southeast Asian Youth programme 2010, the young crew will discuss the youth’s participation in social activities, including culture, environment, international relations, education, health, food and community development.
