FM spokesperson praises Vietnam's election to UNESCO
(VOV) -Foreign Ministry spokesman Le Hai Binh has said Vietnam's election to the UNESCO Executive Committee with the large number of votes (156) in favour demonstrated international support and acknowledgment of the country's contributions to the UN Agency.
This was the 4th time Vietnam was elected to the UN body, which is in charge of UNESCO’s budget and programs.
Regarding clashes of Vietnamese workers in Algeria, the spokesman said the Vietnam Embassy in Algeria has cooperated with the workers’ agent to move the Vietnamese workers to other construction site.
Relevant bodies have discussed solutions regarding wages, place of work and legitimate interests of the Vietnamese workers, the official added.
