State President Nguyen Minh Triet on October 19 sent a message of condolences to his Ukraine’s counterpart Victor Yushchenco over losses caused by a gas explosion in Dnipropetrovsk city.

The blast, which took place in a large residential complex in the city on October 13, killed 18 people and injured many others.
