Over the years, the K52 search team who operate as part of the Gia Lai provincial Military Headquarters have discovered, collected, and repatriated 1,395 sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice during the past war in Cambodia. Twenty-one sets of remains were recovered during the 2017-2018 dry season.

Huynh Nu Thu Ha, vice chairwoman of Gia Lai People’s Committee, delivered a funeral oration, emphasizing that the Party, State, army, and people are proud of the heroic fighting spirit and great sacrifice of the fallen soldiers, who contributed to the success of the two countries’ revolutions and have fostered the solidarity and friendly ties between the two nations.
