The Ministry of Education and Training held a ceremony at Radio the Voice of Vietnam’s (VOV) theatre on September 21 to honour 11 excellent pupils who scored 30 points out of 30 at the recent college entrance exams.

The pupils came from high schools in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, the northern provinces of Thai Binh, Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh and Phu Tho, and the central provinces of Nghe An and Quang Tri.

Nguyen Thi Nguyet, from Bac Ninh province, who has been accepted to study at the Foreign Trade University, said she felt very glad and honoured by the ceremony. “I’m really grateful to the Party and State for all their attention and assistance,” she said.

The honours are expected to become a national annual event in the coming years to encourage lifetime study amongst pupils and uphold their ancestors’ traditional fondness for learning.
