1,000 domestic and foreign golfers will compete in the qualifying round of a golf tournament to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi at ten golf courses across the country on September 25.

The tournament will set a new record for Vietnamese golf, attracting the highest number of players so far.

The ten golf courses include Yen Thang (in Ninh Binh), Van Tri, Dong Mo (in Hanoi), Tam Dao (in Vinh Phuc), Montgomerie Links Vietnam (in Quang Nam), Sea Links (in Binh Thuan), Thu Duc (HCM City), Long Thanh and Dong Nai (Dong Nai), and Vung Tau (Ba Ria-Vung Tau).

The 10 best golfers from each competition will go through to the final round held at the Van Tri golf course in Hanoi on October 9.

This event has been organized by the National Committee for the1000-year celebrations of Thang Long-Hanoi, the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee, the Hanoi Municipal Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and the Vietnam Golf Association.
