The Lao province of Champasak and the Vietnamese province of Binh Duong have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly plant 130,000 ha of long-term industrial forest.

The MOU was reached during a recent visit to Champasak by leaders of Binh Duong province. The two provinces were committed to exchanging experience in economic development and investment.

Leaders of Binh Duong province also visited the Lao provinces of Savannakhet and Bolikhamsay. The hosts expected Binh Duong to further invest in the industrial, agricultural, construction and transport sectors of these provinces.
