Vietnam diplomats meet with Deputy FM

VOV.VN - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son on June 9 chaired a meeting between the diplomatic corps and leaders of the Central Highland provinces at Buon Ma Thuot, the capital of the province of Dak Lak.

Keeping in line with established protocol, the diplomatic reception was held outside the capital to provide the officials an opportunity to get to know the economic and cultural characteristics of local people across the nation up close and personal.

The program entailed presentations by speakers in the morning hours on measures currently underway to develop hi-tech agriculture in the Central Highlands, bolster sustainable tourism and those aimed at nurturing the cultural heritage of the region.

The Deputy Minister and the members of the diplomatic corps took some leisure time to visit the Buon Don tourism site, ride elephants and watch special and unique cultural performances by the ethnic minority people.

They also met with provincial leaders, presented gifts to disabled children at the local educational development centre and toured farms visiting with local farmers and their families.
