Twenty one people have died and seven have been injured in a road accident in northwest China's Gansu province on October 29, according to local authorities.
The vehicle, carrying railway construction workers, overturned in a mountain tunnel at 7.30 a.m. in the Manwa township in Lintao county, the Gansu Provincial Work Safety Administration announced in a statement. The tunnel was still under construction as part of a railway.
An initial investigation shows that a brake failure was to blame for the accident, a spokesman with the local railway authorities said.
