The Vietnam-France Friendship Association (VFFA) will continue boosting the fine development of the traditional friendship and solidarity with France, as well as French investors and enterprises doing business in Vietnam.

Newly-elected President of the VFFA Nguyen Huy Quang affirmed this at the organisation’s Congress in Hanoi on October 23.

Addressing the congress, Permanent Deputy President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Associations Tran Dac Loi spoke highly of the VFFA’s achievements in developing relations with France over the past 10 years and urged the association to expand its activities beyond diplomacy and friendship to cooperation in economies, trade, culture, education, arts, healthcare, environment, poverty reduction, and tourism.

He also told the association to unite more people and expand its membership to enhance its role as a bridge for State and Party diplomacy.
