Belgium ’s Flamand region will provide 1,000 post-graduate scholarships for students from the Mekong Delta region under an educational cooperation programme with Can Tho University.

Fientje Moerman, Vice President of the Flemish Government and Flemish Minister for Economy, Enterprise, Science, Innovation and Foreign Trade made the confirmation at a working session with Deputy Minister of Education and Training Tran Van Nhung in Hanoi on May 10.

The same day, at a meeting with the Ministry of Education and Training, representatives from Italy 's Trento University also said they are willing to grant scholarships to Vietnamese post graduates in biotechnology, electronics, environment and food processing.

Italy and Belgium provide low-cost but high-quality training courses, especially for master and Ph.D degrees.
