HCM City team won four gold medals and four silver medals to finish first at the National Billiards & Snooker Championships that ended in the Central Highland province of Dak Lak on August 11.
In the last day, players from the city won the men's singles carom 3 and 10-ball events to win both gold and silver medals.

With a stable and good form, HCM City's Duong Anh Vu, who beat gold medal contender Ly The Vinh in the quarter-final, easily defeated his teammate Nguyen Quoc Nguyen 40-22 in the men's singles carom 3 final to bring the third gold medal to the city.

HCM City's fourth gold medal was won in the men's singles 10-ball event by Nguyen Hoang Minh Tai, who overcame his teammate Lam Trung Long 7-5 in the final.

On his way to the victory podium, Tai defeated many strong players, including Southeast Asian Games gold medallist Luong Chi Dung of Hanoi.

Hanoi was second, with three gold and three silver medals.

The tournament, which was organised at the Dak Lak Gymnasium, attracted 120 players (including 18 females) from 12 provinces and cities.
