Mr. Trong emphasized the important role of sports in improving public health and the nation’s sportive spirit. He praised the province’s socio-economic and sports achievements in recent years and said he hopes that the festival will be successfully organised.

This year’s festival draws the participation of 537 athletes from 8 districts and 10 departments within the province competing in 11 events including football, table tennis, badminton and athletics.

The festival provides an excellent chance for the province to select the best athletes for the upcoming provincial Sports Festival.
