Security top priority at IPU-132
(VOV) - The holding of the 132nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-132) in Hanoi during the last week of March is a first for the nation’s history and one of the biggest security operations ever on Vietnamese soil.
At a February 28 summit planning conference Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that security of all the participants is critical and Vietnam is deploying thousands of security personnel to ensure their safety.

Throughout its inspiring 125-year history the IPU has served as a platform of exchange for parliamentarians all over the world on issues relating to peace, security, cooperation and development.
The Deputy Prime Minister said Vietnam’s hosting of the event this coming March 28-April 1 will help increase Vietnam’s prestige in the international arena and he thanked relevant ministries, agencies and localities for all of their hard work in preparing for it.
