Tropical low pressure to form near East Sea

At 7am on 27 December , the tropical depression’s centre was positioned at 10.7 degree north and 129.5 degree east, about 450 km east-southeast of the coastal waters of the central Philippines. The strongest winds near the eye of the system leveled between 7-9.

In the next 24 hours, the tropical low pressure will track north north-west at a speed of 15-20 km per hour.

At 7am on December 28^th, the centre of the system will be positioned at 11.5 degree north and 125.7 degree east in the coastal waters of central Philippines with the strongest winds of 9 category.

The Standing Office of the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control asked the National Committee for Search and Rescue at provincial and cities to keep a close watch on the development of the tropical depression. They also suggested that guide boats should be moved away from dangerous areas and prepare any necessary rescue facilities for the worst situations lying ahead.
