100,000 trees to be planted in Bac Kan
VOV.VN - More than 100,000 green trees will be planted later this month at Deo Giang National Historical Relic Site in Bach Thong district in the northern province of Bac Kan, within the framework of the “One million green trees for Vietnam” fund.
The “One million green trees for Vietnam” fund has been in operation since 2012, calling on the public to plant more trees across the country. It has been held in more than 20 provinces and cities nationwide, drawing the participation of more than 10,000 local and youth volunteers.
Earlier on May 2, the MNRE and Vinamilk planted nearly 100,000 trees worth VND900 million at the national trig point GPS 0001 and at coastal areas in Dat Mui commune, Ngoc Hien and Cai Nuoc districts in the southernmost province of Ca Mau as part of the efforts to deal with drought and saltwater intrusion in the locality.
