Director of the Communications and Public Affairs Department of the APEC Secretariat Anita Douglas has praised Vietnam’s great efforts in organising the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation (APEC) 2006 summit.

Ms Douglas was quoted by Voice of America (VOA) as saying that she has a deep impression of Vietnam.

According to VOA, 2006 is called the Vietnam APEC year as the country will host the APEC summit, which will feature more than 100 meetings and events, including a meeting of economic leaders scheduled for November 18-19 in Hanoi.
