Vietnam ranked second with 41 gold, 29 silver and 21 bronze medals at the Asian Indoor Games 3, concluded in Hanoi on November 7 after nine days of competition.

China came in first with 47 gold, 23 silver and 18 bronze medals. Third place went to Kazakhstan with 21 gold, 15 silver and 21 bronze medals.

On the last day of the games, Vietnam won three gold medals, one silver and one bronze in Wushu.
In the Muay and kick boxing competitions, seven Vietnamese entered the finals and won two gold medals in kick-boxing and one in Muay, the first gold medal Vietnam has won in Muay at a regional event.
