State President Nguyen Minh Triet on July 31 sent a message of congratulations to his Singaporean counterpart, S. R. Nathan, on the 35^th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries (August 1).

On the occasion, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung cabled a congratulatory message to Singaporean PM Lee Hsien Loong.

Deputy PM-cum-Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem also extended greetings to Foreign Minister George Yeo.
