A meeting was held at Hue Nghiem pagoda in Ho Chi Minh City on November 13 to mark the 30th anniversary of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS).

The event highlighted the important role the VBS has played in strengthening great national unity among religious believers.

Buddhist followers have always made significant contributions to the city’s socio-economic development and participated in many charitable programmes.

They have mobilized nearly VND1,400 billion to support underprivileged people, including the poor, the disabled, orphans, HIV patients, and victims of natural disasters.
