Over 3,000 representatives of Hanoi’s businesses, agencies, and social organisations will take part in a walk on September 26 in celebration of the city’s 1,000th birthday.

The event is organised by the UNESCO Culture Office in coordination with the Hoang Dung Communications Company, Mekong Trade Joint Stock Company, and Vietnam Synergy Co. Ltd.

The walk will draw the participation of a number of government leaders, representatives of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front, the Vietnam Union of Scientific & Technical Associations (VUSTA), the Learning Promotion Association, the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA), the National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC), and some of Hanoi’s press agencies.

It will start in Dinh Tien Hoang street and proceed around Hoan Kiem Lake. Participants will offer incense at the statue of King Ly Thai To.
